Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup buttercream frosting
  • Red sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add softened butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk. Mix until smooth.
  5. Fold in chopped strawberries.
  6. Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them halfway.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool completely.
  9. Frost with buttercream and add red sprinkles.

Notes

  • You can substitute strawberries with raspberries or cherries.
