Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce and tomato for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and sage.
  2. Form the mixture into four patties.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  5. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Toast the burger buns on the grill.
  7. Assemble the burgers with lettuce and tomato.
