Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, pressed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the tofu into cubes.
  3. In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and maple syrup.
  4. Toss the tofu cubes in the marinade and let sit for 15 minutes.
  5. Place marinated tofu on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through.
  6. In a saucepan, heat vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the broth, stirring until thickened.
  8. Serve baked tofu drizzled with the sauce and garnish with fresh herbs.
