Ingredients

- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 sheets nori
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 4 ounces crab meat
- Soy sauce for serving
Instructions
- Rinse sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Cook rice with water in a rice cooker or pot according to package instructions.
- Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl until dissolved.
- Once rice is cooked, transfer to a bowl and mix in the vinegar mixture.
- Allow rice to cool to room temperature.
- Cut nori sheets into heart shapes using a template or scissors.
- Place a small amount of rice on each nori heart.
- Top rice with avocado, cucumber, and crab meat.
- Fold nori over fillings and shape into hearts.
- Serve with soy sauce.
