- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the cherry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the dish.
- In a bowl, mix the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the cake mixture over the cherry filling.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the cake batter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream for added flavor.
- You can substitute cherry filling with apple or peach.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
