Description

A delicious blend of snickerdoodle cookies and apple pie.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to butter mixture.
  5. Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients.
  6. In a separate bowl, toss apples with brown sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
  7. Spread half the cookie dough in a pie dish.
  8. Add apple mixture on top of the dough.
  9. Drop remaining dough over the apples.
  10. Bake for 45-50 minutes.

Notes

  • Use tart apples for best flavor.
  • Let cool before serving.
  • Serve with ice cream if desired.
