- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread to the mixture and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning, uncover and drizzle with maple syrup.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with extra syrup if desired.
Notes
- Use any type of bread you prefer.
- For a richer taste, use challah or brioche.
