Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- Royal icing (for decoration)
- Food coloring (green and white)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg and extracts to the butter mixture; mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness.
- Cut out football shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place cookies on baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cookies cool completely before decorating.
- Use royal icing to decorate cookies like footballs.
