These Christmas thumbprint cookies are festive treats filled with jam.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fruit jam (your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add flour, cornstarch, and salt. Mix until combined.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Make an indent in the center of each ball with your thumb.
- Fill each indent with jam.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool before serving.
