Description

A festive sourdough bread perfect for Christmas gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 500g strong white bread flour
  • 350ml water
  • 100g sourdough starter
  • 10g salt
  • 50g dried cranberries
  • 50g chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt.
  2. Add the water and sourdough starter, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes.
  4. Incorporate cranberries, nuts, and rosemary into the dough.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it. Let it rise for 4 hours.
  6. Shape the dough and place it in a proofing basket. Let it rise for 2 hours.
  7. Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
  8. Score the top of the dough and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  9. Let the bread cool before slicing.

Notes

  • Use a mature sourdough starter for best results.
  • Adjust the amount of cranberries and nuts to your taste.
  • Ensure your oven is fully preheated before baking.
