Ingredients

- 8 slices of bread, cubed
- 1 pound of breakfast sausage
- 12 eggs
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the sausage in a skillet until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Add bread cubes and cooked sausage to the egg mixture. Stir gently.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can prepare this casserole the night before and refrigerate.
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
- Substitute sausage with bacon or ham if desired.
