Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 225°F (110°C).
  2. In a clean bowl, beat egg whites until foamy.
  3. Add cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
  5. Mix in vanilla and peppermint extracts.
  6. Fold in crushed peppermint candies gently.
  7. Spoon or pipe meringue onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 1.5 hours or until dry to the touch.
  9. Turn off oven and let cookies cool inside for 1 hour.
