A delicious Christmas main course featuring roasted turkey with stuffing.
Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 teaspoons sage
- 2 teaspoons thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Melt butter in a skillet and sauté celery and onion until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, sautéed vegetables, herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken broth gradually until mixture is moist.
- Stuff the turkey with the bread mixture.
- Place turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for 3-4 hours, basting occasionally.
- Remove foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the skin.
- Check the internal temperature, it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let turkey rest before carving.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs for better flavor.
- Plan for leftovers; turkey sandwiches are great.
- Adjust stuffing ingredients based on preference.
