Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whip egg whites until frothy. Gradually add granulated sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites gently.
  5. Add red food coloring and mix until combined.
  6. Pipe the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, then let cool.
  8. In a bowl, beat butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and mint extract until smooth.
  9. Fill cooled macarons with the buttercream and sandwich them together.
