Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon flavor extract (peppermint or vanilla)
- food coloring (red, green)
- lollipop sticks
Instructions
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring.
- Use a candy thermometer to heat the mixture to 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and quickly add flavor extract and food coloring.
- Pour the mixture into lollipop molds and insert sticks.
- Let them cool completely before removing from molds.
- Wrap in cellophane for gifting.
Notes
- Be careful with hot sugar syrup.
- You can customize colors and flavors.
- Store in a cool, dry place.
