A festive gingerbread house perfect for Christmas celebrations.
Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups royal icing (for decoration)
- Assorted candies for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar together.
- Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture, and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Roll out the dough and cut into pieces for the house.
- Bake pieces for 10-12 minutes. Let cool.
- Assemble the house using royal icing.
- Decorate with assorted candies.
