Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar together.
  4. Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture, and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into pieces for the house.
  7. Bake pieces for 10-12 minutes. Let cool.
  8. Assemble the house using royal icing.
  9. Decorate with assorted candies.
