A festive roast duck recipe perfect for Christmas dinner.
Ingredients

- 1 whole duck (about 5–6 pounds)
- 2 oranges, quartered
- 1 onion, quartered
- 4 cloves of garlic, smashed
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup honey
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the giblets from the duck and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Season the duck inside and out with salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika.
- Stuff the cavity with oranges, onion, and garlic.
- Place the duck on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
- Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Roast the duck for 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- During the last 30 minutes, brush duck with honey.
- Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let it rest for 15 minutes before carving.
