- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 2 cups stuffing
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 1 tablespoon rosemary
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the stuffing by sautéing the onion, carrots, and celery in butter.
- Add the stuffing mix and chicken broth, then mix well.
- Stuff the turkey with the prepared stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and season with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
- Cover with foil and roast for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Remove the foil in the last 30 minutes to brown the skin.
- Check the internal temperature, it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Serve with cranberry sauce.
