Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup nuts (walnuts, almonds)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour and salt.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  5. Fold in dried fruit and nuts.
  6. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  7. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  8. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  9. Place the loaf in a greased pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
