Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 gallons of water
  • 10 lbs of pale malt
  • 1 lb of crystal malt
  • 1 lb of roasted barley
  • 2 oz of hops
  • 1 packet of yeast
  • 1 cup of sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat water to 160°F.
  2. Add malts and steep for 30 minutes.
  3. Remove grains and bring to a boil.
  4. Add hops and boil for 60 minutes.
  5. Cool the wort and transfer to a fermenter.
  6. Add yeast and sugar.
  7. Seal and ferment for two weeks.
  8. Bottle and carbonate for another week.
