A festive beer brewed for the holiday season.
Ingredients
Scale
- 5 gallons of water
- 10 lbs of pale malt
- 1 lb of crystal malt
- 1 lb of roasted barley
- 2 oz of hops
- 1 packet of yeast
- 1 cup of sugar
Instructions
- Heat water to 160°F.
- Add malts and steep for 30 minutes.
- Remove grains and bring to a boil.
- Add hops and boil for 60 minutes.
- Cool the wort and transfer to a fermenter.
- Add yeast and sugar.
- Seal and ferment for two weeks.
- Bottle and carbonate for another week.

- Use fresh ingredients for best flavor.
- Adjust sweetness by varying sugar amounts.
- Store in a cool, dark place.
