Celebrate Chinese New Year with these traditional treats.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup glutinous rice flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup red bean paste
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour and water until smooth.
- Add sugar and coconut milk, stir well.
- Grease a steaming dish and pour half the batter into it.
- Spoon red bean paste over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top.
- Steam for 30 minutes.
- Let it cool and cut into squares.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
Notes
- Use food coloring for decorative purposes.
- Store in an airtight container.
- Best served fresh.
