Description

Celebrate Chinese New Year with these traditional treats.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup red bean paste
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour and water until smooth.
  2. Add sugar and coconut milk, stir well.
  3. Grease a steaming dish and pour half the batter into it.
  4. Spoon red bean paste over the batter.
  5. Pour the remaining batter on top.
  6. Steam for 30 minutes.
  7. Let it cool and cut into squares.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.

Notes

  • Use food coloring for decorative purposes.
  • Store in an airtight container.
