Ingredients

- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Food coloring (red or pink)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Stop stirring and let it boil until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in vanilla and food coloring.
- Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
- Let it cool slightly, then cut into pieces.
- Dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
