Description

A delicious walking taco casserole that combines all the flavors of your favorite walking tacos in a convenient casserole dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups corn tortilla chips
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and mix well.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half of the tortilla chips.
  5. Add ground beef, black beans, and salsa on top of the chips.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the mixture.
  7. Layer the remaining tortilla chips, then add the remaining beef mixture and cheese.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  9. Top with sour cream, diced tomatoes, and jalapeños before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add your favorite toppings such as guacamole or olives.
  • To make it spicier, use hot salsa or add more jalapeños.
