This is the classic Toll House famous fudge recipe that delivers rich and creamy chocolate fudge.
Ingredients

- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, milk, and cocoa powder.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
- If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
- Pour the fudge into a greased 8-inch square dish and let it cool.
- Once set, cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Ensure to stir constantly while boiling to prevent burning.
- Let the fudge cool completely before cutting.
