Ingredients
- Turkey – 15 lbs
- Butter – 1 cup
- Salt – 2 tbsp
- Pepper – 1 tbsp
- Garlic powder – 1 tbsp
- Onion powder – 1 tbsp
- Herbs (thyme, rosemary) – 2 tbsp
- Chicken broth – 4 cups
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Rinse the turkey and pat it dry.
- Rub butter all over the turkey.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and herbs.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan.
- Pour chicken broth into the pan.
- Cover with foil and roast for 2 hours.
- Remove foil and roast for an additional hour until golden brown.
- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
