- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 cups stuffing mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 cups green beans
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 pumpkin pie
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and rinsing the cavity.
- Mix stuffing with chicken broth and pack it into the turkey.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and brush with melted butter.
- Roast the turkey for about 3-4 hours, basting occasionally.
- Meanwhile, boil potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and milk.
- Steam green beans until bright green and tender.
- Serve turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce.
- Finish the meal with pumpkin pie for dessert.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
- Cook stuffing separately if preferred.
