Ingredients

  • Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
  • Butter – 1 cup
  • Salt – 2 tablespoons
  • Pepper – 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
  • Onion – 2, chopped
  • Carrots – 4, diced
  • Celery – 4 stalks, diced
  • Chicken broth – 4 cups
  • Stuffing mix – 1 box
  • Green beans – 1 lb
  • Cranberry sauce – 2 cups
  • Pumpkin pie – 1, pre-made

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by patting it dry and rubbing butter, salt, and pepper all over.
  3. Stuff the turkey cavity with chopped onion, garlic, carrots, and celery.
  4. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
  5. Cover with foil and roast for 3 hours, removing the foil for the last hour.
  6. Cook the stuffing according to package instructions.
  7. Steam the green beans until tender.
  8. Serve the turkey with stuffing, green beans, and cranberry sauce.
  9. Finish the meal with a slice of pumpkin pie.
