  • 4 branches of fresh thyme
  • 4 branches of fresh sage

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
  3. Rub the turkey with softened butter, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the onion, lemon, and herbs inside the turkey cavity.
  5. Place the turkey on a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
  6. Roast the turkey for 2.5 to 3 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
  7. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
