- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add celery and onion. Cook until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine bread, cooked vegetables, and herbs.
- Pour in chicken broth and mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer mixture to a baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

- Use day-old bread for better texture.
- Add cooked sausage for extra flavor.
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated.
