Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh cherries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash and pit the cherries.
- In a bowl, combine cherries, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cornstarch, and almond extract.
- Pour the cherry mixture into the pie crust.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the filling is bubbly and crust is golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
- Use frozen cherries if fresh are not available.
- Adjust sugar based on cherry sweetness.
