A hearty breakfast casserole perfect for Thanksgiving morning.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups cubed bread
  • 1 pound sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the bread cubes, cooked sausage, and cheese.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and sausage layers.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  6. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
