Ingredients

- 6 cups cubed bread
- 1 pound sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the bread cubes, cooked sausage, and cheese.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and sausage layers.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
- This casserole can be prepared a day in advance.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
