Ingredients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Buttermilk – 1 quart
- Cornbread – 1 batch (for stuffing)
- Green beans – 2 lbs
- Mashed potatoes – 5 lbs
- Gravy – 4 cups
- Cranberry sauce – 2 cups
- Pecan pie – 1 large
- Sweet potatoes – 3 lbs
- Marshmallows – 1 bag
Instructions
- Brine the turkey in buttermilk for 24 hours.
- Prepare cornbread and let it cool.
- Make stuffing with cornbread and seasonings.
- Roast the turkey until golden brown, about 3 to 4 hours.
- Boil and mash the potatoes with butter and cream.
- Cook green beans until tender.
- Prepare gravy from turkey drippings.
- Heat sweet potatoes and top with marshmallows.
- Serve cranberry sauce on the side.
- Finish with pecan pie for dessert.
