A delicious southern sweet potato casserole topped with a crunchy pecan crust.
Ingredients

- 4 cups sweet potatoes, mashed
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, milk, butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine pecans, brown sugar, flour, and melted butter.
- Spread the pecan mixture on top of the sweet potato layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Notes
- Let cool slightly before serving.
- Can be made a day ahead and reheated.
- Adjust sugar based on sweetness preference.
