A flavorful Portuguese stuffing perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients

- 1 loaf of Portuguese bread, cubed
- 1 cup of diced onion
- 1 cup of diced celery
- 1 cup of cooked chorizo, crumbled
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, sauté the onion and celery until soft.
- Add the crumbled chorizo and cook until browned.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, sautéed mixture, and seasonings.
- Slowly add the chicken broth until the mixture is moist but not soggy.
- Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown on top.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better texture.
- Adjust the seasoning to your taste.
- Can be made a day in advance and reheated.
