A classic Thanksgiving dish featuring turkey and traditional sides.
Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 cups stuffing
- 4 cups turkey broth
- 1 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon sage
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 cups green beans
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 pumpkin pie
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and rinsing it.
- Stuff the turkey with stuffing mixture.
- Rub the outside with butter, salt, pepper, sage, and thyme.
- Place in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for about 3 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the skin.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Prepare mashed potatoes and green beans to serve.
- Serve with cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie for dessert.
