Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 box vanilla wafers

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, mix milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks.
  4. Gradually add a small amount of the hot mixture to the egg yolks, then return to the saucepan.
  5. Add butter and vanilla, stir until combined.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  7. In a serving dish, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding.
  8. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
