Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  3. In a bowl, blend butter and sugars until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. Stir in buttermilk, baking soda, baking powder, spices, and salt.
  6. Gradually add flour, mixing until smooth.
  7. Fold in caramel sauce.
  8. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
