Ingredients

- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add onion, carrots, and garlic; cook until softened.
- Add ground lamb; cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato paste, beef broth, and peas; season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Spread the lamb mixture in a baking dish.
- Top with mashed potatoes; smooth the surface.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use leftover mashed potatoes for quicker prep.
- Substitute ground beef for lamb if preferred.
- Can be made ahead and frozen.
