Mississippi pot roast cooked in a crockpot for tender, flavorful meat.


Ingredients

  • 34 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 56 pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Place the chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the roast.
  3. Place the butter on top of the roast.
  4. Add pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
  5. Pour beef broth into the crockpot.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  7. Shred the meat with two forks and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sear the roast before placing it in the crockpot.
  • Adjust the amount of pepperoncini for desired spice level.
