- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions; drain.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; sauté until onion is translucent.
- Add ground beef; cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Combine cooked pasta with the meat sauce mixture.
- Transfer half of the mixture to a baking dish. Top with half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Add the remaining pasta mixture and top with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with mushrooms or lentils.
- You can use any marinara sauce of your choice.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
