A simple make-ahead stuffing recipe perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 cup of celery, chopped
- 1 cup of onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of sage, dried
- 1 tablespoon of thyme, dried
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add celery and onion. Sauté until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in the chicken broth and mix well.
- Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- This stuffing can be assembled a day in advance and refrigerated.
- Adjust herbs to your taste.
- Use vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
