Ingredients

  • 1 cup of celery, chopped
  • 1 cup of onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of sage, dried
  • 1 tablespoon of thyme, dried
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add celery and onion. Sauté until softened.
  4. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and mix well.
  6. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
