Ingredients

  • 1 cup of celery, diced
  • 1 cup of onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of dried sage
  • 1 tablespoon of dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add onions and celery, sauté until soft.
  4. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour chicken broth over the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
