Description
A simple dressing recipe that you can prepare ahead of Thanksgiving.
Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 cup of celery, diced
- 1 cup of onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of dried sage
- 1 tablespoon of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add onions and celery, sauté until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour chicken broth over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Transfer to a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Notes
- This dressing can be made a day in advance.
- Store in the refrigerator and reheat before serving.
- Adjust seasonings to your taste.
