Description

A delicious lemon cheesecake French toast casserole that combines the flavors of lemon and cheesecake in a baked dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of brioche bread, cubed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, ricotta, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, vanilla, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  4. In a large baking dish, layer half of the bread cubes.
  5. Spread half of the cheese mixture over the bread.
  6. Top with remaining bread cubes and cheese mixture.
  7. Pour egg and milk mixture over the top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Let it sit for at least 10 minutes before serving.
  • Best served warm.
