An Italian-inspired Thanksgiving dinner featuring traditional dishes.
Ingredients
- Turkey (1 whole, 12-14 lbs)
- Olive oil (1/2 cup)
- Garlic (8 cloves, minced)
- Fresh rosemary (2 tablespoons, chopped)
- Fresh thyme (2 tablespoons, chopped)
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Stuffing (1 box or homemade)
- Pasta (1 lb, any type)
- Marinara sauce (2 cups)
- Parmesan cheese (1 cup, grated)
- Green beans (1 lb)
- Butter (1/2 cup)
- Italian bread (1 loaf, for bread crumbs)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with stuffing and place it in a roasting pan.
- Roast the turkey for 3-4 hours, basting every hour.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- Heat the marinara sauce and combine with cooked pasta.
- Steam or sauté the green beans in butter.
- Prepare bread crumbs from Italian bread and toast in the oven.
- Serve turkey with pasta, green beans, and toasted bread crumbs.

- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Use leftover turkey for sandwiches or soups.
