- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup water
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add water gradually to form a dough.
- Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each ball to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Fry each piece in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Notes
- Frybread can be served with honey or used as a base for tacos.
- Make sure the oil is hot enough for frying.
- Adjust thickness of the dough to your preference.
