- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 cup of celery, diced
- 1 cup of onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of sage
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add celery and onion, sauté until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Slowly add chicken broth until bread is moistened.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Use day-old bread for best results.
- Adjust herbs according to your taste.
- Can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
