Ingredients

  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, salt, melted butter, and eggs. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  7. Shape each piece into a roll and place on a baking sheet.
  8. Cover and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter before serving.

Notes

  • For softer rolls, cover them with a kitchen towel while rising.
  • You can add herbs or garlic for extra flavor.
