Homemade sloppy joes are a quick and easy meal made with ground beef and a tangy sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
- Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve the mixture on hamburger buns.
Notes
- You can use turkey or chicken instead of beef.
- Add chili powder for extra spice.
- Top with cheese if desired.
