Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  2. Mix garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into the breadcrumbs.
  3. Dip each mozzarella stick in flour, then egg, and finally in breadcrumbs.
  4. Freeze the breaded mozzarella sticks for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cayenne pepper to the breadcrumbs.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
