A simple and flavorful homemade dressing perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 cup of celery, chopped
- 1 cup of onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of sage
- 1 tablespoon of thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add celery and onion. Cook until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, celery, onion, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour chicken broth over the mixture and stir until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-45 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Feel free to add nuts or dried fruits for extra flavor.
- Use vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
- Can be prepared a day in advance and baked before serving.
